"Paredones, a coastal zone in the Colchagua Valley, has produced very good sauvignon blancs and chardonnays; for the reds, it’s the pinot that shines in that cold coastal climate. Take a good look at this one, which is pure fruit and flowers along with spiced notes from the oak (for the six months of aging, 50% in barrels, the rest in steel tanks). The texture is firm, the flavors juicy."
